What this site does not do
This site sets no cookies and has no forms. Reading it leaves no trace with us beyond the technical records and the audience measurement described below.
If you pick a language with the switcher at the top of the page, your browser keeps that choice in its own storage so the site opens in that language next time. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
When you write to us
If you email us, we keep your name, your address and what you wrote for as long as it takes to answer you and to follow up, and no longer than three years after our last exchange. We process it because you asked us to reply, which is our legitimate interest and, where you are asking about our services, a step towards a contract. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share your message with anyone outside Notung.
Technical records
Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). To deliver the pages and protect them from abuse, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical details of your request in its server logs, which it keeps for a limited time. Cloudflare acts on our behalf under its data processing terms, and the transfer to the United States relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which Cloudflare has joined.
Webfonts. The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, a service of Google LLC (Mountain View, USA). When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google’s servers, which see your IP address in the process. Google states that it does not use these requests to identify or track you. The transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Audience measurement. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, run by the same Cloudflare that hosts the site. On each page view, a Cloudflare script reports the page, the page you came from and technical details of your browser. It stores nothing on your device and assigns you no identifier. We see aggregate figures only, available to us for six months. We do this out of our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is read, and Cloudflare processes the data on our behalf under the same terms and transfer framework as the hosting.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a copy of it. Write to contact@notung.ai and we will answer within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, at cnil.fr.
Changes
If the site starts doing something new with your data, for instance if we add a booking tool, this page will be updated first.
