In Notung’s stock screen, the stock’s value at cost price fills in stage by stage, and the finished goods arrive with what is on hand, reserved and available. This morning’s orders are checked against them: the 8 oak tables ordered are in stock, but Granges & Cie’s order for 12 oak benches is 4 short. Sales administration opens the order and promises October 16, when production finishes the missing benches, and the 8 benches in stock are reserved for it.
